We might get older, but some things never change:

We, friends and some colleages from the Uni, went to Garmisch-Partenkirchen yesterday, and climbed up the "Wank" mountain. Thanks to Andreas for organizing the walk. It was great fun! Here are some pictures:
The rest of the pictures are in this Gallery.

There was a huge demonstration against the "Free Trade Agreement" (TLC or CAFTA-DR) with the US in Costa Rica today, and I would have loved to be there. This was the biggest demonstration in the history of our country, with an estimated 150 000-200 000 people there.
This "agreement" if you can call it like that, attacks many of the things that make Costa Rica a nice place to live, and if approved, would limit greatly our chances of economic and social success in the future.
Since you can only vote if you are in Costa Rica next Sunday, and that means I can't, I ask everyone in Costa Rica to please inform themselves and try to make a smart decision. Don't let the fear campaign being run by the government affect you.
This sites contain a lot of information: http://www.concostarica.comThis is a quick overview in english:
http://upsidedownworld.org/main/content/view/910/1/I put some of my reasons to say no to the TLC here.
And since this is a photoblog, here are some pictures of Rodrigo Mora, Steve Quiros, and me, saying NO to the TLC. We are in front of Nordbad, about 100m from my apartment. They were visiting Munich to go to the Oktoberfest. More on that later.

Rigo and Steve came this weekend to Munich, and we spent some time in the Oktoberfest, or like people here say "auf der Wiesn". We sat in the Augustiner tent, and this is how it looked like around 11am:
Afterwards, we went to Koenigsplatz and took a walk. Look at that Sky!
The rest of the pictures are in this gallery. Trees are starting to loose their leaves, and I made some pictures of trees around the block.

This weekend, I went for a walk to the Olympiapark with Fede and Ana. The weather was perfect: sunny and a cool breeze.
Here you see the Olimpic tower, the lake, the big tent is the pool, and the BWM tower. The BMW factory is right next to it.
Just before it turned dark, we went to the top of the Olympiaturm, and catched the sunset:
We could also see the Oktoberfest from there:
And this is the BMW Tower, also known as the "4-Cylinder". The building that looks like a big bowl with the BMW logo on top of it is the BMW museum. It has been closed for renovations for a long time, but since they are finishing the BMW-World in front of it, they might open it again soon. In the meantime, a part of the exhibition is in a big inflatable dome across the street.
